Competing wiki copying our content. Now what?

Oh boy do I ever need help on this one. I must say it's been a demoralizing past 2 weeks. I co-own a game related wiki called sacredwiki.org and I'm happy to say that it's done very well. We have a strong community contributing to it and it just seems to get better and better.

We've had quite a bit of competition in the particular interest, a pc game called Sacred 2, and from what I can tell our wiki is possibly the most informative as well as uniquely designed. Over the past year we've had a number of competing sites who have taken content from our site. Mostly to do with game maps I've created though it wasn't too bad. I sent a notice explaining that the maps, graphics and content is for sacredwiki.org only and they begrudgingly obliged my request. However this most recent issue is by far as bad as it can get...

The offending site sacredwiki.it has been sneaking content off our wiki for about 6 months now without us noticing and holy cow have they ever taken a lot... I've started listing the pages of theirs that are using graphics that I've made for our wiki and it's at least 50 pages so far. I still need to create a list of copied written content which largely ties into the same pages as the images taken. I'm guessing it's going to be about 100 pages of copied content from our wiki. I'm not sure how to convey how I've felt about this but it's really quite depressing. About a year's worth of work just swallowed up and placed somewhere else to receive accolades for. I almost feel as if it's pointless to be creative anymore.

We have been in contact with the owner of the site who as we have learned is not a co-operative person. Putting it lightly, heh. The competing site is an Italian wiki and we've been communicating with the site owners staff Admin since we know him. We did send a message explaining the situation to the owner but he never responded. Within reason we have done everything we can and asked only that he add links to the offending pages that link back to the source with mention of our CC license.

I suppose our next step is to send the owner a somewhat formal DMCA takedown? And then contact the ISP about the issue?

I'm a bit upset about the whole thing and it's really affecting my enjoyment in having a wiki as well as a forum. This is actually worse than when my apartment was robbed. All my work just taken.

Is it even likely that an ISP would do anything to help?

    Discouraged
